Finding a Methodology for the Testing of Attributes

What sort of tests might be used to discern the GURPS attributes of a creature?

ST is probably the easiest to determine, by either live testing or dissection -- and please note that I'm not suggesting that animals should be experimented on or killed to satisfy our curiosity, only that data to that end is likely already published.

DX might be a matter of how accurately a creature, say a frog, leaps toward something it wants or away from what it wishes to avoid. Similarly, its reaction time might translate to Basic Speed or Combat Reflexes.

IQ seems to be the easiest to categorize, as the spectrum for non-sapient animals is rather limited, and intelligence tests for humans abound. Though I can't find the link at present, I once saw a post on the SJG forum where someone had listed various types of animal intelligence, including a brief description of what capabilities the categories entailed, as well as numerous examples of which animals fall into them.

HT is rather nebulous, and would probably require convoluted testing of cardiovascular fitness, rate of healing, resistance to disease, etc. How much of that can be determined through mere observation, I do not know.

It would also be helpful to know if broad categories of creatures tend to have certain bonuses or penalties. Perhaps carrion-eaters have improved HT because of the risks associated with their diet. Or maybe house pets are prone to having lower Per because of household noise, unnatural surroundings, and whatnot.
